Able Seamen
Duties include but are not limited to: Changing oil, oil filters, fuel filters, air filters, etc.; performing engine overhauls, repairs, tune ups; assisting with and learning crane, winch, gearbox repairs; assisting with and learning air compressor repairs and maintenance; maintaining daily records, reading and understanding instruction manuals; performing repairs on air ballast systems, potable water systems, fuel systems, air systems; performing AC/DC electrical current repairs.
Ordinary Seamen
Appropriate U.S. Merchant Mariner's Document is required. Duties include but are not limited to: standing lookout, steering and engine room watches; attaching slings, hooks and other lifting devices to cables, booms and hoists; loading equipment and supplies aboard vessels by hand or using hoisting equipment; signaling others to move, hoist and position loads; and operating skiffs (FRC) to transport divers and other personnel; washing deck and other equipment; securing and moving vessel docking lines to and from docks and other vessels or platforms.
